Brett Nicholson - B.Ec MBA (Fin) NASD MIAA AMC
Brett Nicholson is a director of the Melbourne Financial Group. Brett is responsible for business development, general operations and managing customer relationships.
Brett has extensive experience in the financial services industry. Prior to establishing Melbourne Financial Group, Brett was a financial consultant with Citigroup Australia. Brett worked for major financial institutions in Australia (indlucing ANZ and Citibank) and international firms overseas.
Brett has over 15 years experience in residential and commercial banking, money markets, foreign exchange and equities having worked in Australia, America and Europe.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Economics (Econometrics), MBA majoring in Finance from Monash University and completed in Chicago, USA. He has also successfully completed industry recognised certificates in mortgages and commercial lending.
Lauro Ottaviani - Dip Bus, Grad Dip Bank & FInance, CPA
Lauro Ottaviani is the Office Manager of Melbourne Financial Group. Lauro oversees the end-to-end loan process from application stage through to post settlement.
Lauro has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years, with major lenders such as ANZ Bank and Esanda through to smaller independent finance broking businesses, both in sales roles and bank office accounting, lending and managerial positions.
Lauro holds a Diploma of Business Studies (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma of Banking and Finance as well as holding CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) status. He has also completed residential and commercial lending courses, having been an Accredited Mortgage Consultant (AMC) previously.
